For generations, tea gardens across Northeast India have been home to vibrant communities whose daily labor produces the tea enjoyed worldwide. Yet these same communities—often isolated, economically vulnerable, and underserved by traditional development programs—face unique challenges that require understanding, commitment, and culturally sensitive solutions.
Fathers House has been privileged to work alongside tea garden communities for over a decade, developing deep relationships built on trust, respect, and shared commitment to lasting change. Our tea garden initiatives recognize that sustainable development must honor the rich cultural heritage of these communities while creating new opportunities for prosperity and growth.
